Reflecting about owning repeat Hemp Hats
I have owned several Hemp hats looking back, most of them were all medium brimmed. Made the mistake of owning a larger brimmed Hemp Hat, and every time the wind picked up, it flew off my head, lesson learnt. When it was time to trade in, I gladly returned to medium brimmed hat. For anyone wishing how to wash your heavily sweat stained Hemp hats (but that would be for any seasonal Tilley hat owned, throw in dishwasher if possible, as throwing into a washer, breaks it down faster. My first Tilley hat was T3, and every time it was washed in a washer, it definitely broke down faster, and needed to trade in more often!
I’ve been wearing Tilley brand hats for 30 plus years. Buy one, get the warranty replacement hat, re-buy, receive replacement hat. For the last 5 years, been wanting to replace my T5 Hemp Hat, maybe it’ll happen this year. Having the capabilities of returning to HQ in Toronto is always a treat, seeing the same salespeople at the store. ‘I’m curious if they can make a combo of the T5 Hemp Hat with Airflow Hat, maximize the ventilation on those hot sticky days?’
