Why did Tilley expand globally?
Tilley is 100% committed to its Canadian heritage and to the associates who make up our corporate office and manufacturing facility. In our 35+ years of selling headwear across the globe, we have been powered by supply chain partners in other markets who live by the same standards we expect. As our company evolves, we remain committed to our own staff and factory, while also continuing to search the globe for best in class, long-term suppliers and manufacturers who will help us responsibly expand our business. We are truly excited by the growth of Tilley! In order to meet consumer demand, we needed to expand production as responsibly as possible.


When did Tilley start expanding globally?
We’ve been buying fabrics and components globally for many years. Working with our partners on manufacturing our headwear started in September 2018.


What does this mean for the employees in Toronto and Canada?
We will have our own factory right here in Toronto, with no jobs lost in either our head office or factory.


Is Tilley still a Canadian company?
Yes, Tilley will remain designed in Canada and committed to continuing to manufacture in Canada, in our factory as well as local partners. We’re committed to our Canadian roots, responsible sourcing and lifetime guarantee.
