WE TAKE YOUR PRIVACY SERIOUSLY
Your business with us is your business, and nobody else's. I think you'll appreciate the efforts we go to, to protect your privacy.
Tilley Endurables is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. We do not sell or trade personal information about you with anyone.
Your Internet Transactions
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layers), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. When you click on “checkout”, you will connect with our secure server. SSL sends your browser information that “encrypts” your order, changing all the information that you send back into a code that is extremely difficult to decipher.
E-mail is not a secure means to send information, as it is not encrypted. We encourage you to use our secure ordering process when shopping.
Is using a cookie going to give us personal information about you? No. Accepting a cookie does not give anyone access to your computer or hand-held device or to any personal information. It is simply a small file in which we keep information that identifies you as a unique shopper. The cookie will be deleted 25 minutes after non-use or upon browser shutdown.
Tilley Endurables will only collect personal information with your consent and for the purposes outlined under “Collection”. Your personal information will only be collected online when you decide to order product, request a catalogue or contact us by e-mail.
Your consent to collection may also be provided: in person in our retail showrooms, by telephone, fax or mail through our Mail Order department, or by completing a check box on a form. If you would like your name deleted from our mailing list, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
We use the information we collect about you to establish a helping relationship, to provide ongoing service and to protect you and us against error or fraud.
What personal information do we collect?
The information we collect will depend on the reason for collection and could include: your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number, credit information relating to payment and limited purchase history.
Why do we collect personal information?
We collect this information only if required to process any of the following: completion of a sales transaction, delivery of product, hat insurance registration, inclusion on our mailing list or your entry in a contest or survey. We publish letters and pictures supplied by clients only after receiving their permission.
Use, Disclosure and Retention
We restrict and limit access to customer information only to those employees who need it to carry out their business functions and we educate our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. Your personal information will be retained only for as long as it is required for the reasons it was collected.
We maintain appropriate security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data within our system.
In certain circumstances, we may share your personal information with trusted service providers that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services. To ensure the confidentiality and security of your information, these service providers must agree to safeguard your information in strict compliance with our policy.
If you have provided personal information to Tilley Endurables, you may check the accuracy of that information, however we will require specific identification from you in order to do this.
