This fur felt fedora is luxurious yet practical. In keeping with Tilley Hat traditions, it's crushable, packable, rain and snow resistant. The inside Hydrofil® lining is soft, warm and helps wick moisture away. Styled with a subtle 'pinch front' and molded crown, it has tuckaway ear warmers to help keep you warm. In the secret pocket is a feather which you may use to adorn your Hat, if you are so inclined. Spot clean with a soft bristle brush.

To find your hat size, use a tape measure and draw it right around your head, just above the eyebrows. If you give us the measurement (inches or centimetres) we’ll give you the right size. Refer to our Hat Sizing Chart for an easy reference to your Tilley Hat size.

The Tilley Fedora can be packed flat in your suitcase and then brought back to life by simply re-shaping it with your hands. The crown will pop back to its original shape. Creases will fall out or, if deep, can be steamed out.

HAT INSURANCE?:
We understand the anguish of losing this reliable companion, or of having your dog terminally gnaw it. Should that happen, we`ll replace your late, lamented Tilley at half the catalogue price.
With your Hat, you`ll be provided with `The Straight-Shooter`s Statement of Loss of a Tilley Hat` insurance policy. The insurance is for two years, all perils, 50% deductible, and is not issued by Lloyds.
THE CLOTH:
The Fedora is made with premium sueded fur felt that is naturally rain and snow resistant. The Hydrofil® polyester lining and sweatband helps to keep you warm and dry. The tuckaway ear warmers are made from a cosy cotton/spandex rib knit and provide additional 'staying power' in windy conditions.

SECRET POCKET:
Inside the crown is a good-sized pocket sealed with Velcro®. In it, carry your Brag Tags, I.D., toilet paper(!), license, hotel key, $10 bill (in your case a $20), plus 50¢ for an emergency phone call.
TUCKAWAY EAR WARMERS? :
Some years ago, I went out for a walk on a cold, windy winter's day. The wind chill was memorable. After a short while my ears were so painfully cold that I had to retreat home. Remembering the admonition that 'there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear,' I decided that ear warmers were necessary. That's why they're there and I find I use them fairly often.
CERTIFIED SUN PROTECTION:
The fabric and style of all Tilley Hats have been certified to block 98 percent of harmful UVA/UVB radiation and deliver an ultraviolet factor (UPF) of 50+, the maximum rating given.
CARE:
Spot cleaning with a soft-bristled brush is all this hat requires to get rid of any surface dirt. To keep your hat looking the same as the day you bought it, brushing it in the direction of the felt will keep it looking neat and ready to go. The Fedora must only be spot cleaned with a soft-bristled brush or the guarantee is void. Do not wash and do not dry clean. We offer the Fedora Brush. If you somehow get a stubborn crease, a light steaming will take care of it. Carefully use the steam from a tea kettle, or place the Fedora in the bathroom during a hot shower, to remove creases. Allow to dry before storing. |
