Nearly perfect for me
The other reviewers have all captured my thoughts at some point. The only negative -- and I agree with the one reviewer -- is that when the headband part becomes saturated with sweat that it drips down and out the front. That is annoying. However, the minimal weight, portability, wash ability, and nearly perfect fit have, for me, outweighed that annoying bit. My only suggestion for Tilley would be a more absorbent and/or wicking material for the headband area.

Best hat I have ever worn.
I have been wearing hats outdoors for 25 years. Without doubt, the LTM6 I bought seven years ago is the best hat I have ever owned. My previous hat had become one giant sweat stain as I wore it in the heat of Fort Worth Texas. My LTM6 was an absolute miracle by comparison. I have worn it nearly every day since I bought it. It has always been comfortable, it has been water resistant, and it has protected my head in all but the coldest weather. I have had many compliments on my hat, and my only regret is that it took me two years to decide to buy a Tilley hat.

Poor Breathability, Head Stays Hot
Looks nice and the wide brim offers good sun protection, but this hat has terrible moisture control. The mesh area is too small and the Nylamtium material is waterproof, allowing water and heat to build up quickly. After walking on a hot day, many drops of water spill out of the mesh when you lean forward. I'm disappointed with the Tilley LTM6 after spending over $80US on a hat that supposed to be the best. A cheap baseball cap does a better job of keeping my head cool and dry. Don't fall for the glowing advertising on this hat like I did.

I need another one (or two)!!!
My wife and I each bought a T2 and I also bought a LTM6 before we moved to Liberia. The three survived the rigors of Liberian life for over four years. One T2 was left there with a friend. The other two are here with us in Florida, still serving well. The LTM6 is showing signs of wear from being washed at least weekly, so it is time to get a new one. Now that colors are available I'll be "styling". Friends comment about how "expensive Tilley hats are, but mine have outlasted anything they have purchased many times over. Tilley hats sound like a bargain to me!!

Love all 6 of my Tilleys
I bought my first Tilley in Montreal several years ago. It was the T2. My wife also bought one.
I now have six Tilleys!! I have a Hemp hat and two of the LTM6 hats. I constantly get compliments on all those hats. They want to know where I purchased it.
I also own aT4 and a LTM8! I would recommend any of those hats toanyone who wants to wear the best of the best hats!I take these hats with me all over the USA and Canada!! They wash up great and maintain their shape.

LOVE my Tilley except...
I made the mistake of untying the windknots when i first got my hats. Can't get them re-tied in the original fashion even after watching the You Tube video. The hat, other than that, I'm exceptionally satisfied with. Operator headspace on my part.

8 years & finding more uses
My Tilley has always been great in the sun, and the cords are invaluable in mountain and seacoast wind, even squalls. Trying to avoid the harsh sun on hot Greece afternoons, on a whim I decided to wear it while swimming in the salt water and it's great ! The brim felt a little strange on my neck doing the backstroke but it worked better than I dared hope. The top compartment is also a great place for stowing emergency money - most pickpockets don't steal hats !
And it still looks great after all these years

While I am on the pool deck in the blazing sun I enjoy the comfort of my Tilley. Life in the outdoors just got easier.
The wide brim is just right to shade my eyes, and face. Tilley helps to keep me cool.
My Tilley has accompanied me on vacation and trips to town. I keep my Tilley in the SUV to shade my eyes while driving.
I have to admit that I have at times added embellishments to my Tilley. Scarves have adorned the crown and at times I have attached a brooch to the scarf. These added ornamentations give my Tilley a feminine touch that I can match to my...
" Couture whims of the moment. "
The possibilities end with your imagination. The quality, performance, and dependability begin with Tilley.
I am going to add the Blue Tilley to my wardrobe.
Thanks for a truly practical and versatile product!

Willed to My Son
Bought this hat at REI last year and made the mistake of buying too small. Still looks brand new after several washings. Light and comfortable, much more so than our T4 which I use when it is cooler. Sits lower on the head, but with the higher crown and lighter fabric, is cooler and more stylish than most any other hat. We now own two since my oldest son wanted a Navy blue model.

Perfect!
This hat has been perfect for me while sitting in the stands at the College World Series in Omaha. On those unbearably hot days when the sun is bearing down on everyone, the mesh netting is a lifesaver when a breeze stirs up. Thanks for a great product!

LTM6 Wonderful lightweight
hat. I hid my wife's 25th anniversary diamond ring up in the hat's pocket all the way to Ireland and presented it to her in Waterford. The wide brim is very nice in foul weather. I sprayed 3 coats of Scotch Guard fabric protectant on the hat to ease cleaning. It's a great choice.

The hat has been great but the old gal is due for replacement. I have had it for a little over six years and used it almost daily. I have had it at the beach, fishing, flying, horseback riding, hiking, swimming and at work. Yes I will miss her but hope to get as much great wearing out of the next tilley hat.

Excited Purchase
While my wife and I were exchanging another gift for an appropriate size. I noticed the Tilley hats. Working and playing in the Canadian North all my life, I have definitely come to appreciate quality apparel. Just had to have the Tilley Airflo LTM6.Wearing it in the living room right now as we speak. "Beutiful Job".

Great hat I have had one for 6 years and it is the only hat I wear. Great in the sun, rain and any other condition you can think of. I wear it fishing, on the beach and anywhere I go.

Did I say how much I love this hat?
I've only had my Tilley LTM6 for a month, but I don't know how I traveled for so many years without it. It has already been to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, on a catamaran in the Caribbean, and is currently drying after a good scrub getting ready for a trek to Cambodia. I can't believe how much I love this hat. It stays on my head, protects face, neck, and ears from sun, holds its shape in a back pack, and looks snappy at the same time. Oh, and the crown money compartment provided me with cash to buy jewelry from a hawker on the beach. The number of people who comment on the hat is amazing, not to mention the other Tilley hat owners I meet are just great people. I'm looking forward the rest of my life with this hat.
